Oil and Gas Products

Dipropylene Glycol (DPG)

-Application
Industrial uses of DPG include as a raw material to produce polymers such as polyester and alkyd resins or as plasticizer in other polymers, for example PVC.

Naphtha

-Application
The main uses of petroleum naphtha fall into the general areas of precursor to gasoline and other liquid fuels, solvents (diluents) for paints, dry-cleaning solvents, solvents for cutback asphalts, solvents in rubber industry, and solvents for industrial extraction processes.

Reformate

-Application
Reformate is the primary output of the catalytic reformer. The primary use of reformate is as a high-octane blend stock for making gasoline. Reformate's high octane comes from the high levels of aromatics that it contains. Another use of reformate is as a source of aromatics for the petrochemicals industry.

Sulfur

-Application
Sulfur is used in the vulcanisation of black rubber, as a fungicide and in black gunpowder. Most sulfur is, however, used in the production of sulfuric acid, which is perhaps the most important chemical manufactured by western civilisations.

LPG Propane

-Application
Its main uses include home and water heating, cooking and refrigerating food, clothes drying, and powering farm and industrial equipment. The chemical industry also uses propane as a raw material for making plastics and other compounds.

LPG Butane

-Application
It is typically used as fuel for cigarette lighters and portable stoves, a propellant in aerosols, a heating fuel, a refrigerant, and in the manufacture of a wide range of products. Butane is also found in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

LPG Mixture

-Application
LPG is basically a mix of hydrocarbons with 3 (C3 – propane) and 4 (C4 – butane) carbon atoms, receiving its name from the fact that it can be liquefied by compression at room temperature. This product may be used as domestic fuel for cooking and heating.

Urea

-Application
While over 90% of urea produced is used as a fertilizer, it has other uses, which include the manufacture of the melamine, used in melamine-methanal resins. Urea itself also forms important resins. An increasingly important use of urea is in reducing air pollution from diesel engines in cars, buses and lorries. Urea is also used as a fertilizer and feed supplement, as well as a starting material for the manufacture of plastics and drugs.
